In 1969, Emil Fish, founder and president of Regency Park Senior Living, Inc., together with his father, decided to open their first retirement home. “It was a big move for us,” comments Mr. Fish, looking back on the decision, “but my father and I believed—and I still maintain—that combining compassionate care and first-class service is the formula for success in this industry.”
The formula succeeded, indeed, and Regency Park continued to grow. “Although we had many opportunities to expand, we consciously decided that rather than being the biggest, we wanted to be the best—in Pasadena,” says Richard Kale, executive vice president.
Fittingly, in both 2010 and 2011, The Fair Oaks by Regency Park, the company’s flagship independent and assisted living community, was named “Best Senior Living” community in Pasadena by a citywide poll conducted by the Pasadena Weekly. And Regency Park Oak Knoll, the first Regency Park assisted living community, consistently receives some of the highest resident and family satisfaction results in the country.
For Regency Park Senior Living, Inc., the journey continues, with the same goal as when the company started: superior service delivered by a devoted management team and caring staff. "And for 2012," Mr. Fish adds, "we are committed to setting an even higher standard of excellence by consistently exceeding the expectations of our residents."
